Nixa Area Farmers Market
Market Rules
Effective March 2022
1. Membership is open to anyone who grows or produces their own goods in the Missouri counties of Christian, Douglas, Webster, Greene, Lawrence, Stone or Taney.
2. Members may sell produce, plants, flowers, crafts, and canned/packaged goods if members produce them.
3. No drugs or alcohol allowed or sold at market.
4. Membership based on non-agricultural products may be limited.
5. Annual membership fee is $55.
6. Members will allow an on-site visit by a certification committee comprised of no less than 2 board members.
7. Membership fee must be paid before inspection. If inspection fails, fee is nonrefundable.
8. Members are allowed to sell produce grown by other members.
9. Market will open April and close in September with exact dates to be determined annually.
10. Market hours are Saturday 8:00 am to Noon.
11. The location of the market is determined by the board and is currently Main & 14.
12. Space for vehicles will be available on a first come basis.
13. Setup spaces may be determined by board members if spaces become limited.
14. Members must display or produce upon request a Nixa Farmers Market member certificate on market days.
15. Members are responsible for complying with all local, state and federal laws.
16. Members are responsible for set up and tear down of their tent, table, and product. It is not the responsibility of the market or other vendors to set up or tear down for an individual member.
17. Members are responsible for cleaning up around their stands. Members must provide their own trash receptacle. This rule will be strictly enforced.
18. Any problems should be addressed to the market manager or a board member.
19. Members will not setup on market areas outside of regular market hours and days, nor display Nixa Farmers Market member certificate at any alternate location.
20. All tents must be weighted down regardless of weather.
21. No vendor information shall be given to other markets without vendor consent.
22. Gas or diesel generator must be inspected and approved by Market Manager or board members.
23. All membership expire on December 31st annually.
24. Non-members will not have voting privileges.
